Michael Forbes is both a medical professional and a dynamic health services entrepreneur. Born July 10, 1979, in Kamloops, BC, Forbes went through UBC’s pharmacy school on swimming and skiing scholarships, graduating in 2002 with a BSc. in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He went on to additional certification in hormone restoration and regenerative medicine.
Forbes opened his first pharmacy near Victoria when he was 25; he now owns nine pharmacies in BC and Alberta. His Forbes Pharmacy and Ageless Living brands stands out, offering clients unique care by creating solutions specific to their particular needs.
Forbes has created a string of enterprises under the Ageless Living umbrella: Ageless Living Market, Ageless Living Media, and Ageless Living Integrated Medical Centre. In 2014, he launched the first Ageless Living Expo and this year, Forbes opened Canada’s first bio-hacking centre, to help people increase their workout efficacy and recover more quickly from illness and injury.
Through his Forbes Group of Companies, Michael Forbes also owns apartment buildings in Victoria, the Casino Royale Rentals and Bubble Soccer game companies, and West Coast Super Storage.
Forbes is engaged compassionately in the communities he serves professionally. He has helped raise funds to assist patients, local schools, the SPCA, and he has worked alongside the Langford Fire Department to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.
Michael Forbes is a member in good standing of the BC College of Pharmacists. He recently won a prestigious Quantum Shift fellowship. Backed by KPMG, the Ivey Institute for Entrepreneurship, TD Commercial Bank and The Globe and Mail, it is given each year to 40 of Canada’s most promising entrepreneurs.
Forbes plans to expand still further into business consulting.
